Cross Country Overland Youth Travel Short Term Missions, offering youth, family, volunteer missions

One of the areas in which we work is a small rural village called Lubanzi. It is near the old mission hospital of Zithulele in the Oliver Thambo district and is about an hour and a half hike from Hole In The Wall. This scenic coastal village is flanked by winding Mncwasa River in the South and boasts the deepest waters between Durban and Cape Town off Mbolompo Point. There is no electricity or running water at all and during big rains the road is impassable. There is a small spaza shop, a pre primary school and one (very under resourced) crèche. The Headman is Mr Ndoyisile who is an accomplished farmer. We have formed valuable relationships with the community and are involved with a number of projects in the area.
