The traveler sees what he sees. The tourist sees what he has come to see.

| THE WILD COAST |
|
A former homeland, the Transkei Wild Coast stretches from the Kei River in the South, to the Mtamvuna River in the North. Rolling hills, thick forests, remote villages, jagged cliffs and empty beaches characterize the area. As does the hospitality and openness of the local Xhosa people. However during apartheid, the Transkei was overlooked and targeted for neglect. The underdeveloped has left a legacy of poor infrastructure, bad roads, substandard education and services that are either basic or non-existent. Consulting a sangomas (witch doctor) and ancestral worship is still very common in the area and is often entwined with Christianity. However we believe that God has an exciting plan for the region and we want to be a part of it. (if you could insert a template for about 4 pics) |
