There are so many adventure activities available in South Africa; you will be able to pick and choose to your hearts content! Here are a few examples of what’s on offer along the route. Your “Pre-trip information pack” will provide details about which activities are included in the price of your trip.

Bungy Jumping (www.faceadrenalin.com)
Bloukrans is officially recognised by Guinness World Records as being the World’s Highest Commercial Bungy Jump at a whopping 216m.
There is also a shorter jump and an epic bridge swing at Gourits.

Addo Elephant Park boasts over 450 elephant, Cape buffalo, black rhino, a variety of antelope species, as well as the unique flightless dung beetle, found almost exclusively in Addo. You will also experience:

  • The Big 7 (Elephant, rhino, lion, buffalo, leopard, whales and great white sharks) in their natural habitat.
  • Unrivaled natural diversity, with five of South Africa's seven major vegetation zones (biomes).
  • A rich heritage of archaeological and historical sites.

Buccaneers Backpackers, in Cintsa offers a host of activities including horse-riding, surfing, climbing walls and sunset cruises...to name but a few.

Beaches
We will be visiting plenty of pristine beaches en route, taking in both the Indian and Atlantic Oceans. From white sands and blue surf to imposing cliffs and hidden coves.

Hiking
South Africa is a hiker’s paradise, from gentle strolls in the Knysna forest, to full-on hikes in the remote peaks of the Drakensberg Mountains.

Snorkeling/Diving
There are numerous spots along the coast where one can explore the warm waters of the Indian Ocean. We provide snorkeling equipment for our clients to use free of charge.
